We had the best day at the beach. One of these times I want to skip the amusement parks altogether and just spend a few days soaking up the sun and sand. The kids love it and there's no charge for admission!

Carlsbad State Beach 4/11
We asked Sammy if he would rather have a birthday party with friends or go to Legoland. He chose Legoland...no contest (he's mad for Legos). We ended up spending three days in the Carlsbad /San Diego area. We went to Legoland, the San Diego Zoo, and Carlsbad St. Beach. It was a birthday weekend extravaganza that ended with Easter back in Vegas. And now the car looks like a junk food/sand bomb went off in it and I can't get the kids to eat real food.
